Mediation Plus and Time2Talk

Mediation is a form of alternative dispute resolution where trained mediators help two or more people involved in a dispute, to understand each other and to recognise that they can find their own resolutions to conflicts. Mediation can help with disputes between neighbours or local community groups, within families, in school, or in social care or supported living environments.

The Time2Talk service offers mediation to young people and family members of different generations who are experiencing relationship difficulties. The service supports children and young people aged 9 to 19 and their families or carers across Eastbourne, Wealden and Lewes. Their trained and accredited mediators help you to identify needs, clarify issues, explore solutions and negotiate agreements. The mediators act as facilitators, helping people to work out a solution that is realistic, practical and workable. The decision making rests with the parties involved and the mediation process is entirely voluntary.
