About the Safe Space Scheme

The Safe Space Sussex Scheme is a network of locations across the county offering a Safe Space for people to go to if they feel unsafe, threatened or at risk of harm.

The purpose of the scheme is to provide a space and facilities for someone to make a phone call to a loved one, trusted contact, or the police if necessary, or simply wait until they feel safe and comfortable to continue with their day.

You can find the nearest safe space to you by using the map function on the website by using the devices location or entering a postcode.

Safe spaces include businesses, council buildings and various other publicly accessible eligible premises.
